If you love your home and want to do everything you can to stay in it as you age, Aldersgate At Home can lend a hand to keep you independent. From grocery delivery to light housework to doctor visits to meal preparations, we are at your service when and where you need us. During COVID-19, many seniors have found us to be indispensable in lowering their potential exposure to the virus by letting us handle meal, grocery and prescription delivery.

We are also here to give family care partners the added support they need so they can take care of themselves with total peace of mind that their loved ones are in good hands. Think of us as an extension of your family who are ready to help.

We are private pay, but also will assist in filing your Long-Term Care Insurance that may cover our services. Aldersgate At Home is available to those living on Aldersgate campus or neighborhoods throughout Charlotte. We bring the experience and compassion of Aldersgate to you.

What does home care do?

  • Home Care provides clients and their loved ones with peace of mind knowing that a qualified team member is fulfilling needs and overseeing their plan of care every day
  • Our registered nurse (RN) provides one-on-one visits with clients to ensure each client has an individualized, current care plan that is tailored to fit personal needs
  • Our care givers follow the individualized care plan the nurse designs in order to fulfill client needs in the comfort of their own home

What services does home care provide?

  • If needed, 24/7 services are provided by In-Home Nurse Aides
  • Team members are trained in caring for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia
  • Activities of daily living care (dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming), medication reminders, cooking/meal delivery, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, dog walking and companionship
  • Assistance after surgery/post-operative care in the home
  • Assistants can provide personal care assistance at end of stay

What is home health care?

Individuals utilize home health services after a short-term rehab stay in a skilled nursing facility. It includes physical, occupational and speech therapy; skilled nursing services; the administration of medications (may include injections), wound care and pain management; and the monitoring of health status.
